For the time being, I will stick with my Mac and Windows versions, which I love by the way, and if some compelling arguments are made, perhaps I will buy this new version.īut nevertheless, Scrivener is everywhere and there’s no excuse for not using it. Scrivener for iOS is a powerhouse writing environment independent of its OSx. But for version 1.0 this is a remarkably mature app, and is a testament to Keith’s pursuit of excellence with Scrivener. I’m anxious to read the reviews and see how it works. Good enough for an overview of structure, but without the extensive display of meta-data the Mac app’s outline view supplies. It’s been a long time request and in the making for quite some time too. I’m excited Scrivener is on iOS, and I get the sense a lot of other people are too. And if I get that model of iPad Pro, I might give it a try. And for those who write and edit on the iPad, especially the larger iPad Pro, I bet the experience will be fantastic. That works very well for me and offers a very streamlined approach to the writing I do on the iPad.Īgain, I have no doubt Scrivener for iOS will be an amazing app. I can make Books, put notes within each Book or makes Books within Books. And for the times when I use it to write down article ideas or story summaries, I use Notebooks for iPad.Īs I wrote before, Notebooks for iPad has similar features to OneNote. I don’t write on the iPad with any sort of frequency. Additionally, while the Mac version is currently at 3.1.1, the current Windows version is still at 1.9.9. Not that I doubt it’s features, I doubt my usability of it. Hebrew in Scrivener - Ive read a few posts that say Heb doesnt work in Scrivener Im not sure what version they are using, but it does work in Scrivener 2 unfortunately though, it just doesnt paste Heb well from Acc or Logos. While some aspects of both versions are the same, they are not identical at all the Windows version of Scrivener tends to lag a bit. I don’t have the iOS version, and to be honest, at the current $20 price tag, I don’t foresee buying it any time soon.

This of course means you can work wherever inspiration strikes. That’s a nice win and puts Scrivener on Mac, Windows and iOS.
